Pero puede que est\u00e9 bajo nuestros pies. <strong>\u00bfEs posible usar la tierra para calefaccionar y refrigerar una casa?<\/strong> Como parte de su tesis de grado en la Universidad Nacional de San Mart\u00edn, la analista ambiental <strong>Leila Ianelli<\/strong> propone un sistema de acondicionamiento t\u00e9rmico de aire mediante el uso de tubos enterrados. Es decir, utilizando <strong>energ\u00eda geot\u00e9rmica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Se trata de una tecnolog\u00eda simple, en la que el aire del exterior entra por un tubo de PVC enterrado a una profundidad de entre 2 y 4 metros. All\u00ed, la temperatura de la tierra se mantiene constante durante todo el a\u00f1o, en un promedio de 19\u00b0C. De esta manera, el aire se va pre-acondicionando a medida que va recorriendo el tubo, emplazado de manera horizontal. Seg\u00fan el an\u00e1lisis, realizado en una casa de Tortuguitas, provincia de Buenos Aires, la mayor eficiencia energ\u00e9tica es obtenida con un tubo de unos 75 metros.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abSi la casa tiene una aislaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica adecuada, se puede obtener hasta un 60% de ahorro energ\u00e9tico\u00bb<\/em>, asegura Ianelli a TSS. <em>\u00abEste sistema a\u00fan no se aplica en el pa\u00eds, y es un sistema interesante porque no genera gases de efecto invernadero y se reduce el uso de gas\u00bb<\/em>. Por este motivo, tambi\u00e9n es ideal para aplicar en viviendas alejadas de la red el\u00e9ctrica o de la distribuci\u00f3n de gas natural.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed, el beneficio es doble. Por un lado, para los bolsillos de los habitantes de la vivienda. Y por el otro, si se analiza desde una perspectiva macro, porque el consumo de energ\u00eda para acondicionamiento de ambientes representa un 18% del consumo total del pa\u00eds. Adem\u00e1s, en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, las importaciones de gas natural han ascendido a un promedio que ronda los 5 millones de d\u00f3lares diarios.<\/p>\n<p>Otra ventaja es que, si bien la temperatura del aire que sale del tubo es pr\u00f3xima al confort (entre 16 y 23\u00b0C), este sistema cuenta con la posibilidad de acoplar una bomba de fr\u00edo-calor para obtener temperaturas m\u00e1s altas o m\u00e1s bajas, seg\u00fan la preferencia de los residentes en la vivienda.<\/p>\n<p>Debido a estas caracter\u00edsticas, el sistema propuesto por Ianelli fue uno de los ganadores en la categor\u00eda \u00abInnovaci\u00f3n en la universidad\u00bb del <strong>concurso Innovar<\/strong>, impulsado por el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnolog\u00eda e Innovaci\u00f3n Productiva.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abAhora, me gustar\u00eda analizar c\u00f3mo var\u00edan las temperaturas del suelo en otra regi\u00f3n del pa\u00eds, por ejemplo, en el norte. Y otro sistema que quiero estudiar es el uso de tubos enterrados, pero en vez de horizontales, verticales, para ver si de esta manera se obtiene un mayor ahorro energ\u00e9tico\u00bb<\/em>, concluye
