El centro nace con el prop\u00f3sito de ofrecer un centro de negocios moderno, flexible y altamente equipado para freelancers, peque\u00f1as empresas, start-ups y tambi\u00e9n como espacio de com\u00fan, una gran sala de conferencias, una sala de juntas, diversas salas de reuniones, siete \u00e1reas de formaci\u00f3n transformables, oficinas de distintos tama\u00f1os, espacio co-working, cafeter\u00eda, zonas de descanso, terraza lounge exterior, zonas de servicio y hasta tienda propia.<\/p>\n<p>La propuesta de dise\u00f1o, a cargo de YLAB Arquitectos Barcelona, consiste en ubicar tres grandes vol\u00famenes exentos en la zona central, para dejar el resto del espacio abierto. Estos cuerpos, con formas curvadas y escult\u00f3ricas, contienen las funciones de mayor tama\u00f1o y esconden tambi\u00e9n los n\u00facleos verticales de acceso y las zonas auxiliares.<\/p>\n<p>El resto del espacio presenta un aspecto abierto y lleno de luz natural, gracias a la alineaci\u00f3n de los despachos cerrados a lo largo de la fachada perimetral de la planta. Estos despachos est\u00e1n divididos por paramentos de vidrio, para darles un aspecto liviano y dejar pasar la luz a trav\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Los materiales elegidos refuerzan el concepto espacial, con el color blanco marfil y la madera natural tintada de olmo como base. El pavimento pulido de caliza Capri en color marfil multiplica la luz ambiental y amplia \u00f3pticamente la altura del espacio. Los vol\u00famenes cerrados est\u00e1n revestidos en laca satinada color blanco marfil, con luz perimetral indirecta en el encuentro con el techo y el suelo. Los espacios singulares, como los accesos excavados en estos cuerpos o las lamas que protegen los huecos, se revisten en madera natural.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n el volumen de la sala de conferencias est\u00e1 completamente revestido en esta madera, moldeada en ocasiones para formar mobiliario en su cara exterior. It is located in Giza\u2019s Galleria40, a brand new retail and business complex.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The client wanted to create a unique, high-end workplace environment, conceived to be Cairo&#8217;s premier business and conferences facility. Edge provides a flexible, modern, and premium workspace to entrepreneurs, individuals, start-ups, fast-growing businesses, large companies, and agencies.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The 1500 m2 space features a reception area, a large conference hall, diverse meeting rooms, seven flexible training rooms, a boardroom, modern offices in different sizes and co-working areas as well as state-of-the-art business services such as a cafeteria, lounge areas and a shop.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The design idea, by YLAB Arquitectos Barcelona, consists of three large central volumes placed in the center of the space, allowing for an open space all around. These elements, with their curved and sculptural shapes, allocate the functions that need a bigger area, and hide the vertical nuclei and the auxiliary spaces.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The closed offices are placed along the facades and use glass partitions to give them a lighter look and let the light flow in. As a result, the rest of the floor is a free flow open space full of natural light.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The material palette reinforces the spatial concept, using the ivory white and natural tinted elm wood as its base. The polished Capri natural limestone fits in with its warm shade, while multiplying the natural ambient light and amplifying the height of the floor.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The closed volumes are covered with satin white lacquer and feature an indirect led light where the walls meet the ceiling and the floor. Singular spaces, such as the excavated accesses or the slats that protect the voids, are covered with natural wood. Also the conference hall core is covered with wood, occasionally forming furniture pieces at its external face.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Graphite colored accents are added to special pieces like the
