El premio se entregar\u00e1 el 6 de diciembre en Londres, donde las compa\u00f1\u00edas ganadoras sabr\u00e1n si avanzan a la siguiente ronda para los Premios Internacionales de Propiedades. All\u00ed, los ganadores elegidos en la divisi\u00f3n Am\u00e9rica competir\u00e1n con los ganadores regionales de Asia, \u00c1frica, Medio Oriente, Europa y Reino Unido.<\/p>\n<p>La Torre Costanera, ubicada en el distrito Providencia en Santiago de Chile, el centro financiero y cultural de la ciudad, se alza a lo largo del R\u00edo Mapocho y la autopista Costanera Norte. La torre de 64 pisos alojar\u00e1 las oficinas centrales de Cencosud, una de las principales compa\u00f1\u00edas minoristas de Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n<p>El edificio presenta un sistema estructural de vanguardia que brinda un nivel jam\u00e1s antes visto de <strong>protecci\u00f3n contra terremotos<\/strong>. Dise\u00f1ada para una <strong>certificaci\u00f3n Oro de LEED<\/strong>, Torre Costanera incluye un muro cortina de alto rendimiento y sistemas mec\u00e1nicos de alta eficiencia. Algo in\u00e9dito en Am\u00e9rica Latina: el edificio tendr\u00e1 ascensores de doble cabina controlados por computadora, la forma m\u00e1s eficiente para que la gente circule en un edificio alto. Se espera que el edificio estar\u00e1 inaugurado en 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Desde 1995, los Premios Internacionales de Propiedades han celebrado los m\u00e1s altos niveles de logros de las compa\u00f1\u00edas que act\u00faan en todos los sectores de la industria de propiedades y bienes ra\u00edces. Los premios se dividen en regiones del mundo y quienes obtienen las calificaciones m\u00e1s altas en cada regi\u00f3n compiten en el Premio Internacional, que premia a las mejores propiedades del mundo y a los profesionales de los bienes ra\u00edces.<\/p>\n<p>Fundada en 1977 y dirigida por <strong>C\u00e9sar Pelli<\/strong>, <strong>Fred Clarke<\/strong> y <strong>Rafael Pelli<\/strong>, Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects ha dise\u00f1ado algunos de los edificios m\u00e1s reconocidos del mundo, entre otros, el World Financial Center en Nueva York, las Torres Petronas en Kuala Lumpur, y el International Finance Centre en Hong Kong.
