Centro Administrativo de Saint Pierre (Isla Reunión, Francia) por IDOM. El proyecto del Centro Administrativo de Saint Pierre (Isla Reunión), ganador de un concurso público, alojará el futuro Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad Reunionesa, las oficinas de la Policía Local, un restaurante panorámico y dos plantas de aparcamiento público/privado. Próximo al Océano Índico y cerca del histórico Ayuntamiento Colonial de Saint Pierre, el edificio propuesto es el resultado de la conjugación de los condicionantes climáticos, urbanísticos y programáticos.
El complejo propuesto se distribuye en tres volúmenes estratégicamente conectados entre sí. Cada volumen dispone de una doble crujía y se organiza alrededor un patio abierto en su parte inferior, con el objetivo de captar los vientos predominantes y de favorecer la ventilación natural. El conjunto ofrece una fachada más fragmentada y abierta de cara al océano origen de las corrientes de aire.
Por otro lado, en su fachada opuesta, el edificio se reviste de mayor institucionalidad convirtiéndose en el nuevo telón de fondo del jardín botánico frente al ayuntamiento existente. La fachada acoge la vegetación autóctona en sus terrazas y al mismo tiempo responde a las premisas bioclimáticas, con una doble piel de lamas móviles que garantizan una protección solar óptima.
El encargo abarca todas las disciplinas involucradas en el proyecto de urbanización y tratamientos paisajísticos de la parcela, además de las disciplinas asociadas a la construcción del nuevo edificio. IDOM será responsable del proyecto desde la concepción hasta la Dirección Facultativa de la Obra.

Administrative Center of Saint Pierre (Reunion Island)
Winner of a public competition, the Administrative Center of Saint Pierre (Reunion Island) project will house the future Town Hall of the Reunion City, the offices of the Local Police, a panoramic restaurant and two floors of public/private parking.
Close to both the Indian Ocean and the historic Colonial Town Hall of Saint Pierre, the proposed building is the result of the combination of climatic, urban, and programmatic factors.
The proposed complex is distributed in three strategically connected volumes. Each volume has a double bay and the lower part is arranged around an open patio, with the aim of capturing the prevailing winds to use natural ventilation. The complex offers a more fragmented and open façade facing the ocean, the origin of air currents.
On the other hand, on its opposite façade, the building is more institutionalized, becoming the new backdrop for the botanical garden in front of the existing town hall. The façade welcomes the native vegetation on its terraces and at the same time responds to bioclimatic premises, with a double cladding of mobile slats that guarantee optimal shading from the sun.
The commission covers all the disciplines involved in the urban development project and landscaping of the plot, in addition to the disciplines associated with the construction of the new building. IDOM will be responsible for the project from conception to Project Management.
