Coworking Krow (Querétaro, México) por MEKZA Estudio. Krow es un coworking que fue diseñado pensando en las empresas creativas. Está ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Querétaro frente a la antigua estación del ferrocarril, una zona de la ciudad que en los últimos años se ha ido transformando en un polo de negocios emergentes. Su privilegiada localización le ha permitido tener un desarrollo contenido además de promover la utilización de medios de transporte alternativos.
Para el equipo de MEKZA Estudio lo más importante fue definir la integración del nuevo edificio a su contexto, confirmando la nueva vocación de la zona y generando un espacio donde la creatividad es considerada como uno de los principales valores de sus usuarios, por lo que la debe fomentar en un ambiente funcional y productivo.
El programa para KROW dio como resultado un amable edificio de 3 niveles para el que se utilizaron materiales locales en armonía con los de la zona. Los espacios en cada uno de los pisos están distribuidos alrededor de un núcleo central que le brinda iluminación y ventilación natural a todos los niveles. Se buscó tener el menor número de columnas para lograr diferentes formatos de oficinas para poder recibir a empresas de todos los tamaños.
Las salas de juntas, baños y áreas públicas son para el uso común contando con gran variedad de zonas para trabajar individualmente o tener reuniones de trabajo confidenciales, lluvias de ideas, capacitaciones y talleres por mencionar algunos. Estos espacios comunes están complementados por una terraza en el segundo nivel y coronado por un amplio roof garden, ambos aprovechan el magnífico clima de la ciudad durante la mayor parte del año ofreciendo tanto a los inquilinos del coworking, como a los habitantes de Querétaro, alternativas para llevar a cabo diferentes eventos.
El resultado es un espacio de trabajo que ha sido recibido muy bien por los empresarios creativos Queretanos. La armonía de sus espacios y materiales ofrecen un proyecto completo en el que el equipo de MEKZA Estudio tuvo la oportunidad de desarrollar la arquitectura y el interiorismo, además de integrar diseño especial de mobiliario para ciertas áreas producido por su propio taller. La confianza y el trabajo en equipo con sus clientes se hace evidente en los efectos que la productividad ha generado en todos que trabajan en Krow.

Krow is a coworking that was designed thinking on the creative companies. It is located in downtown Querétaro, Mexico, in front of the former railroad station, in an area of the city that in the last years have been transforming into a business pole for the emerging enterprises. Its privileged location has allowed it to have a contained development besides promoting the use of alternative means of transport.
For MEKZA Estudio’s team the most important was to define the integration of the new building to its context, confirming the zone’s new role and generating a space where creativity is considered one of the main values for its users, consequently should promote it in a functional and productive ambiance.
KROW’s programme resulted in a gentle 3 levels building that uses the local materials to be in harmony with the area. The spaces in each floor are distributed around a central core that brings natural light and ventilation to all levels. Having the lesser number of structural columns was a main target in order to have different office formats to receive all size companies.
The meeting rooms, bathrooms and common areas are for everybody to use having a wide variety of zones to work individually or to have confidential reunions, brainstorms, training sessions and workshops to mention a few. These spaces are complemented with a terrace on the second level and crowned by a broad roof garden, both taking advantage of the wonderful climate of the city through most part of the year, offering both the coworking users and people of Querétaro, choices to make different kind of events.
The result is a working space that has been very well received by Queretaro creative entrepreneurs. The harmony of its spaces and materials offer a complete project where MEKZA Estudio team had the opportunity to develop the architecture and interior design, as well as integrating custom design furniture for some areas produced in their own shop. Trust and teamwork with their clients become clear in the effects that productivity has generated in all those who work in Krow.
