Restaurante Compartir (Barcelona, España) por EL EQUIPO CREATIVO. Compartir Cadaqués, el primer restaurante del trío de chefs del multipremiado Disfrutar, forma parte del pintoresco carácter de Cadaqués, al igual que lo hacen sus calles empedradas de pizarra, sus ventanas azules asomándose al Mediterráneo, sus barcas meciéndose suavemente en la bahía, la artesanía de sus comercios invadiendo las estrechas calles con cestas, mimbres, tejidos… y ese aura artística, casi pictórica, que envuelve la villa de Dalí, y que ha inspirado a tantos otros artistas.
El diseño de EL EQUIPO CREATIVO para Compartir Barcelona pretende recrear parte de ese espíritu tan propio de Cadaqués, pero interpretado desde una perspectiva más urbana y contemporánea.
Espacio y soluciones de diseño
El restaurante se sitúa en un amplio y clásico local del Eixample Barcelonés, con una espectacular estructura metálica de principios de siglo. Uno de esos locales donde uno imagina una galería de arte con grandes cuadros abstractos, abundantes en el barrio.
Y así es, también como hemos imaginado el diseño: un gran espacio blanco presidido por tres abstractas “ventanas” azules al mar Mediterráneo: una ventana escultórica, una pictórica y una textil. Cada una de estas ventanas se convierte en una oportunidad para colaborar con artistas y artesanos locales.
El contrapunto lo dan las formas curvas de espejos y ligeros biombos de mimbre y ratán, convertidos en cálidas lámparas. Situados de forma espontánea a lo largo del local, consiguen dar privacidad a las mesas, una de las prioridades de nuestros clientes. Al mismo tiempo recrean un paisaje abstracto de velas y barcas, como referencia a la bahía de Cadaques.
Las barras y cocinas se muestran con formas sencillas y rotundas y funcionan como nodos de energía que activan las diferentes zonas del restaurante.
Materialidad
Buscamos una materialidad cálida y Mediterranea, la cual se traduce en superficies de un blanco roto muy texturizado, enfatizando el toque artesanal.
El tono gris de la piedra pizarra y su aplicación en “trencadís”, junto con el color teja luminoso de las cerámicas, en contraste con el abstracto e intenso azul de las ventanas, crean un potente conjunto que se puede leer en términos casi pictóricos, y pretenden dialogar con las increíbles composiciones de color y textura de los platos propios del Restaurante Compartir.

Todos los materiales y productos utilizados en el proyecto han sido 100% locales, así como los artistas y artesanos con los que se ha colaborado en la creación de piezas especialmente diseñadas para el restaurante.

The brief & concept
Our clients aimed to bring the essence of the Mediterranean town of Cadaques, home of their first restaurant, to their new gastronomic concept in Barcelona. Slate roads, blue windows to the Sea, vessels rocking on the bay, and wicker craftsmanship invading its streets are part of the artsy spirit of Dali’s town.
EL EQUIPO CREATIVO’s design for Compartir Barcelona aims to recreate part of the characteristic and artsy spirit of the town of Cadaqués but reinterpreted from a contemporary and urban perspective.
Space & design solutions
The restaurant is located in a classic venue in the Eixample district, with a spectacular steel structure dated from the beginning of the past century. One of those spaces where one would envision an art gallery with large abstract paintings, which is so common in this neighbourhood.
And so it is that we have imagined the design: an ample white space presided by three blue abstract “windows” towards the Mediterranean Sea: a sculptural, a pictorial and a textile window. Each of these “windows” became an opportunity to collaborate with a different local artist, with whom we created custom-made pieces for the restaurant.
The curved shapes of mirrors and wicker dividers bring a warm counterpoint, converted into lamps of warm light scattered along the space, and bringing privacy to the tables, one of our client’s priorities. They recreate an abstract landscape of sails and vessels, referencing the bay of Cadaques.
Bars and kitchens have simple and bold shapes, while they perform as energy nodes activating the different areas of the restaurant.
Materiality
We look for a warm, light materiality with a Mediterranean touch, translated into warm white textured surfaces and a general handmade touch. Different natural materials connect us with the architectural landscape of Cadaqués.
The grey tone of the slate stone and its application in “trencadís” (traditional Mediterranean technique), together with the natural terracotta tile colour, in contrast with the abstract and intense blue of the windows, create a powerful set that can be read in almost pictorial terms.
